With the ending of a $100,000 grant looming, BYS is reaching out to the community for assistance to keep vital programs going.

It is confirmed that the Department of Social Services funding for the Youth Enterprise Project (YEP), is ending in March 2018.

Northern Lights needs funding! LEARN MORE!

In 2017 alone more than 400 youth participated in YEP initiatives.

YEP has been assisting young people to incubate enterprising ideas, access vocational training and connect with business mentors since 2005. This funding cut will leave key programs such as the popular Byron Flea Market without a means to continue.

Over that time program staff have helped thousands of youth to get a start into a career.

BYS has been part of the Byron Bay family for thirty years.

They have helped a generation of youth over the bridge to adulthood and they want to continue this work into the future.

So, now, at this critical point, BYS is turning to the
community and seeking financial support to keep their programs running for the next generation of youth.
